De la destilería
La destilería Yakimaki fue fundada en Bunhei 2 (1862), al final del shogunato Tokugawa. Cuando estallaron disturbios en Japón, el primer maestro Yatsusaki comenzó a elaborar sake en la ladera sur del Yatsugatake, en el pueblo de Kurosawa en el país de Kai. Desde su fundación, las inscripciones del sake fueron Kai Otomiyama y Ko (casco) Masamune. El vínculo con el sake Otoyama proviene del santuario Ishimizu Hachimangu de Kioto, que en su momento se llamaba santuario Otoyama Hachimangu y veneraba a los dioses relacionados con el alcohol.

1862
Yamaki Naeimon, then a local landowner in the village, founded "Yamaki Shuzo" sake brewery.
1977
The brewery was renamed to Yamaki Shuzoten Co., Ltd.
1988
Launched "Mikonomai," a Junmai Daiginjo sake milled to 35%.
2014
The toji (master brewer), who had served for 35 years, retired, and the 5th-generation head of the family began brewing.
2015
Launched "Naka," a Junmai sake under the Kai Otokoyama brand.
2020
"Naka" and "Karakuchi-zukuri" received an award of excellence at the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's sake tasting competition.
2021
"Naka" and "Karakuchi-zukuri" received an award of excellence at the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's sake tasting competition for the second consecutive year.
2022
"Naka" received an award of excellence at the Tokyo Regional Taxation Bureau's sake tasting competition.
